Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy allows you to improve your mobility and muscle strength, whilst reducing stress on your joints. It is also great for muscle relaxation, pain control, swelling reduction, improving general fitness, and improving balance & coordination. At 4 Life Physiotherapy we have TWO Hydrotread Hydrotherapy Pools on site.

WHY HYRDOTREAD POOLS vs TRADITIONAL POOLS?

  • Water maintained at a comfortable 32-33 deg Celsius.
  • Underwater treadmill with variable speeds ranging from 0 to 16kph – Allows for progression of exercises and to cater for users of different health and fitness levels. Great for athletes returning to running.
  • Easily adjustable water depth at the touch of a button. Depth can range between 0 & 1.3m – Caters for patients of different heights and allows for adjustment in level of weight bearing by adjusting buoyancy.
  • Resistance flow jets – for strength training and progression of exercises.
  • Grab rails always within easy reach – Perfect for people not confident in water or with balance concerns.
  • Easy access – The user steps into the empty pool through a door opening. At the touch of a button the unit is filled with heated and filtered water from a storage tank located in the adjacent plant room. To exit the pool the user presses a button to drain the water back to the storage tank, opens the door and steps out.
  • Individualised program – specific for your needs.
