Lois’ broccoli salad recipe

“I often chop broccoli and onion, fry bacon, roast the almonds and have the dressing mixed the day before, ready to go! Just don’t mix until you are ready to serve because the nuts will loose their crunch”

 

BASE INGREDIENTS:

2 Heads of Broccoli

5-6 Rashers of Bacon

1 Small Salad Onion (Red or White)

100mg Packet of Silvered almonds roasted

2 Tbsp of Toasted sesame seeds (Optional)

 

DRESSING:

1 Cup Miracle Whip Mayonnaise

¼ cup sugar

1 teaspoon vinegar

METHOD:

  1. Chop and fry bacon
  2. Wash and then chop the broccoli into small heads
  3. Roast the almonds and sesame seeds
  4. Mix mayonnaise, vinegar and sugar together
  5. Mix all together and serve
